The German Infantry and specialized units had very specific uniforms. Only standard Infantry units were issued two uniforms. The Fallschirmjager and Luftwaffe were issued their own uniforms which lasted the entire war.

GERMAN INFANTRY

German Infantry - M1936 and M1940 - German Infantry from 1939-1942

The only difference in the M36 and M40 which we issued 3 years apart are color. Both loadouts featured the standard black gear, German helmet and black boots.

German Infantry - M1943 - German Infantry from 1943 - End of War

The M43 uniform was mass issued in 1943 as a replacement for the M36 and M40. The same gear existed, while the uniform was altered. Even though the uniform changed, M36 and M40 uniforms still remained in circulation until the end of the war, never being deemed obsolete.
